Mesnil Warren
In 1924–5 Lutyens added a substantial hipped‑roof wing with dormers and tall narrow windows to Mesnil Warren at Newmarket, extending George Lambton’s late‑Victorian house to provide extra guest and staff accommodation alongside Owen Little’s earlier 1912 top‑storey addition.

Description
Newmarket – Outer Newmarket. Further out, on the e side again, Mesnil Warren, a large late c19 red brick house purchased by Lord Derby’s trainer, the Hon. George Lambton, c. 1908. Additional storey with balcony overlooking the gallops by Owen C. Little, 1912, and large extension of c. 1924–5 by Sir Edwin Lutyens to provide guest bedrooms and staff accommodation.
