Inscribed Portland Stone block with laurel wreath on top. Canopy consisting of bronze arches supporting a central lantern and springing from four Portland Stone blocks.

Description

HENRIETTA BARNETT MEMORIAL, W side of Central Square. By Lutyens, c. 1938. Airy bronze arches raised on stone pylons inter- sect over a plinth with a stone laurel wreath. Intended to frame Henrietta Barnett’s beloved view towards Harrow church.  (Cherry & Pevsner, 1998, p.146)
