Lutyens’s 1926–30 memorial to the 1st Lord Cheylesmore in London takes the form of a curved screen wall with out-swept stone seats framing a pond, set opposite David McGill’s 1909 statue of Sir Wilfrid Lawson (now missing its original allegorical base figures stolen in 1979).

Description
Statue of Sir Wilfrid Lawson by David McGill, 1909, from which allegorical figures round the base were stolen in 1979. It faces a screen wall with outcurved seats and pond: a memorial by Lutyens to the 1st Lord Cheylesmore, 1926–30. (Bradley & Pevsner, 2003, p.379)
