Holland House’s garden at Sunninghill, designed 1900–2 by Lutyens, is a small sunken enclosure with stone retaining walls topped by ball finials and centred on a stone sundial, forming a formal foreground to the enlarged early-20th‑century house.

Description

Holland House, the largest in the street. Its L-plan core, c17 timber-framed and thatched, was remodelled and enlarged in 1891–3. The very pretty garden front has a gable dated 1904, facing a sunken garden following a design by Lutyens, 1900. (Brooks & Pevsner, 2007, p.249)
