The London, Ontario Cenotaph, dedicated on 10 November 1934 and commissioned by the I.O.D.E., is a replica of Lutyens’s Whitehall Cenotaph, raised to honour “The Glorious Dead.”

Description

On November 10, 1934 the Cenotaph was dedicated. It is a replica of the cenotaph that Sir Edwin Lutyens had designed for Whitehall in London, England. This monument was commissioned by the I.0.D.E. and dedicated to ”The Glorious Dead”. (Ontario Heritage Act Register, by-law 3311-283)
